Fellow fans of Batman, here is the trailer for "The Dark Knight" the sequel to Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" which releases in theaters this coming Summer. I know I cannot wait! Heath Ledger is playing the classic arch nemesis The Joker and from the looks of the trailer, Heath is going to blow Jack Nicholson's performance out of the water.

Texas Trip

Recently, my brother, sister and drove down to South Texas for the funeral service of my best friends father who tragicly passed away from liver cancer. The drive was long and I was asleep for all but 5 hours. I was pretty well rested when we finally got to my mother's home but still fell back asleep. We arrived about 6 hours later than planned due to a traffic accident that shut down the interstate in New Mexico for about 5 hours. Traffic was literally at a stand still for the entire 5 hours.

The funeral service was great. There was a 10 minute slide show of the life of this great man and one of the songs was "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" I was doing pretty good at containing my emotions till about the middle of that song. Then the tears starts flowing like it was monsoon season in the Phillipines.

After the service I hung out with my best friend and his brother (Joaquin & Felipe) and we just talked about different things. I got to see old friends that I had not seen since my high school graduation.

We spent another 2 days down there where we got to vist with friends from church and relatives on my mothers side of the family. We also got to visit my father, step-mother, and my two awesome step-sisters. One of which will most likely be up here with us in August.

The drive back was pretty cool and once again I was asleep for the majority of the drive. The only time I was awake was when my brother or sister would wake me and ask to converse with them so that they would not fall asleep behind the wheel.

My brother has some cool talent to where all he needs is like 30 minutes to an hour of sleep and then he can drive for several hours on end. Before heading out we stopped by my grandmothers home and visited with her and one of my aunts and cousin and also spent a few hours at the ranch that Joaquin and his family owns.

Over all it was a good trip...fast but good and it was nice to be back in Utah.

The next trip I'll be taking is to the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, CA. I dive in to that later though.

Look for pictures coming soon.
